Author profile

Retired naval aviator. Combat veteran. Writer.

J.P. Springett II is a retired naval aviator, combat veteran, defense consultant, teacher, and writer. He spent 30 years in the Navy flying aircraft that included the EA-6B Prowler and EA-18G Growler.

His catalog of work moves between memoir, military fiction, spy fiction, science fiction and fantasy, and strategic nonfiction. Across those lanes, the work is grounded in operational experience, an interest in institutions under pressure, and a belief that story can make complex systems legible.

He lives in the Shenandoah Valley along the Shenandoah River and now writes full time.

Commodore’s Ridge publishes work for readers drawn to service, consequence, strategy, and the human choices hiding inside large systems.
